Stakes and Goals

  • To launch and to develop a collaborative portal between suppliers and ACTIA
  • To have a SRM solution that allows to exchange with suppliers on various issues

ACTIA SMP : Actia Supplier Management Platform

1. What are the challenges at ACTIA ?

We have been working with Axiscope for 3 years. Faced with shortages of electronic components, our purchasing mission has been reoriented towards supply issues. We are more in a crisis management dimension with a big problem on the supply side : the economic or quality side is less privileged on the short term. We try above all to have components to be able to assemble our products and deliver to our customers.

To talk about the challenges in a more global way, we can quote 3 key figures :

  • 200 million euros of purchased sales
  • 8,500 references purchased from suppliers
  • 550 active suppliers

Controlling and improving supplier quality is a major challenge that directly serves the quality of our products. This is an integral part of purchasing performance, as well as the improvement of our supplies.

The second major issue is risk management (contractual and financial risks). There will be legal risks, operational risks and also, and increasingly, environmental, social, ethical and information security risks.

The need that we have identified to management is to reinforce the positioning of our supplier quality assurance at ACTIA but also at our suppliers in order to integrate them as well as possible into our processes.

2. How did you work with Axiscope ?

Since 2019, our work with Axiscope is to have a SRM solution that allows us to communicate and exchange with our suppliers on various issues :

  • Purchases issues in a global way but also purchases quality
  • Risk management
  • Non-conformity management
  • Quality
  • Performance of audit

"Working with Axiscope has enabled us to set up a tool that allows us to better evaluate our panel, to better support it, and to better develop it."

Digitization allows to put in common with various stakeholders (between different links in the supply chain) all the risks in terms of capacity, lead time and purchasing forecasts. It is a collaborative tool that enables exchanges to build a true vision of risk.

3. How did you choose this solution ?

We conducted a call for tenders a few years ago. We chose a solution that was compatible with an medium-sized company such as ACTIA, with flexibility in exchanges with the teams and support in our problems in order to design the best solution, which is almost tailor-made. Our teams work together on our different modules in order to build a solution according to the specificities of our business, the world of electronics, the nature of our suppliers, and the size of our companies.

"We didn't want a system that was too rigid or something too complex with suppliers that wouldn't play along."

The goal was to find a balance in terms of company size with flexibility and easy access to the interface. Through its SRM tool, Axiscope quickly seduced us and we decided to entrust them with our functional need. Flexible and agile, Axiscope has an accomplished tool that meets with expectations and needs of purchases and quality departments. Their strength is that they know how to adapt to the specificities to meet the requirements of their customers (whether it is to develop very particular functionalities, or more simply the visual or the interface to be customized).
